We started RAWA because the drinks aisle here is built for a different climate. Most sports drinks sold in the Kingdom were formulated for temperate countries and sweetened for children. They are heavy on sugar, light on the minerals you actually lose, and they taste like a treat rather than something that helps.
Sweating in Riyadh in June is not the same as sweating in Manchester in June. You lose more, you lose it faster, and you lose more sodium with it. Coffee in the morning, air conditioning all day, a late gym session and a light dinner is a normal schedule here, and it is also a reliable way to end the day short on fluid and minerals without ever feeling especially thirsty.
RAWA is a hydration formula built around that. Sodium, potassium, magnesium and chloride in the proportions your body loses them, with enough flavour to make you finish the bottle and not enough sugar to sit heavy. One stick in 500ml of water. That's it.
The collagen came later, and for the same reason: people here were already taking it, mostly in imported tubs with English-only labels, no halal certification and no clarity on the source. We thought that was a low bar to clear honestly.
